The Ascent Advice Service provides immediate, free and confidential information, advice and support to women and girls affected by domestic and/or sexual violence and abuse.
The Advice team will provide you with immediate information about your options and staying safe. Specialist information is provided on a wide range of issues such as:
- Personal safety
- Legal options and processes
- Housing and homelessness
- Finances and welfare benefits
- No recourse to public funds
- Child related concerns
- Emotional well being
The Advice team also offers specialist short-term (up to a month) face to face support to women and girls affected by domestic and sexual violence who are living in London, and are able to link you with other appropriate services such as specialist counselling, group work support, refuge accommodation, specialist solicitors, and long term advocacy support.
The Advice Service is also open for professionals to contact for advice and support on cases relating to gender based violence.
Calls are free of charge, and are open between the below times:
- Monday-10am to 4pm
- Tuesday-10am to 4pm
- Wednesday-10am to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm
- Thursday-10am to 4pm
- Friday-10am to 4pm
